Globant acquires Openware, a company specialized in Security & Infrastructure Management

The merger between the two Argentinean companies will enforce Globant´s expansion process.

Buenos Aires, December 17th, 2008 - Globant the Latin American leader in software product development, R&D, and IT maintenance outsourcing,  today announced the acquisition of Openware -a company specialized in infrastructure security, aiming to widen its portfolio and ensuring the high quality of services to clients all around the world.

Openware, borne in 1994, specializes in IT infrastructure managed services and offers different solutions, such as virtualization, infrastructure, network, security, remote access and Open Source platforms.

With this acquisition, Globant plans to strengthen its services with the experience that Openware brings to the table: the company has a wide portfolio of clients in Argentina and in more than 35 countries. Openware´s professionals join Globant´s team to offer services from Globant´s offices in Buenos Aires, La Plata, Tandil, Rosario, Santiago de Chile, Bogota, México DF, Boston, Palo Alto, Austin and London.

In this way, Globant –who recently closed its third financing round with Riverwood and FTV Capital, continues with the expansion process started in July 2008 with the acquisition of the software company Accendra.
