Argentine network security consultancy Openware expects its revenues to grow 30-35% this year compared to 2006 as many local companies are becoming more aware of the importance of security solutions, Openware's president Federico Seineldin told BNamericas.

The company is focusing on the corporate segment and its current client base includes some 30 companies, which it expects to expand by 30% this year, Seineldin said.

The executive said the goal of the company is to sell more solutions and products to existing clients more than adding many new clients.

Openware's portfolio of products includes Attaka, an on demand vulnerability management solution; a managed services solution called Blockware; and remote management service Soporta.

The executive also said local sales currently account for nearly 85% of revenues, although this year exports will represent nearly 50% of the total.

In Latin America, Openware has distribution partners in Mexico, Chile and Colombia. The company is also looking for distribution channels in Panama and Puerto Rico.

In Argentina the company has offices in capital Buenos Aires and Rosario, while in Spain, Openware has an office in Madrid. "We prefer to have partners more than opening offices abroad as you need a lot of investments to do that," Seineldin said.

Founded in 1994, Openware has become specialized as a managed service provider, offering solutions for remote secure access to applications.
