After 5 years of consolidation and working, Openware’s Research and Development Department (R&D) opens up its doors in order to offer its knowledge to satisfy other companies’ requirements. It has got a skilled professional team with a wide range of expertise and experience. Experience and expertise that our professionals put together to achieve the planned goals in an efficient way, assuring work quality.

R&D Department has got a strong specialization on “Rapid Application Development” (RAD) tools integrated to Agile Development and Open Source Methodologies, plus a good knowhow of security and FLOSS platforms (Free/Libre and Open Source Software) that allow us to adapt to your requirements, generating software applications in short periods of time, at low cost and outstanding quality.

We have got an Analysts and Programmers team specialised in PHP programming, having plenty of experience of LAMP programming, Javascript, Linux shell scripting, Python, Perl and C.
DB2 and MySQL Database Administration skills.
X/HTML and CSS (W3C) know-how.
More than 10 years’ Linux Operative System administration experience.
More than 6 years’ Web Application Development experience using developing tools such as CodeCharge Studio over PHP, MySQL and DB2.
Highly experienced in Drupal programming specially in Drupal API, Theming, module construction and security.
We have got highly experienced personnel in areas like security, base software and networking in Web development.
Web servers architectural design (Apache, Squid, Postfix, PHP, LightHTTP, MySQL, DB2).
Expertise with PHP Frameworks such as QCodo, Zend Framework, Symfony and CakePHP.
We have got installation, configuration and software integration experience in FLOSS projects such as Twiki, RT, WordPress, Drupal, Eventum, Trac, and WebSVN.
We have a wide experience managing and maintaining virtual servers (VMWare) over Linux platforms (OpenSUSE, Debian, RedHat Slackware, Ubuntu) and Microsoft Windows as well.
Highly specialised staff on computing security tools configuration and management such as Nessus, W3af, Metasploit, Nmap.
Have vast experience in CVS/SVN usage.
We have contributed to FLOSS community with developments and contributions
to the following ones: Dedo, Dogo, Rever, W3af, Drupal modules and
countless post on many forums.
