The MSP Model

Since the year 2000, Managed Service Providers have emerged to help companies manage their networks and systems remotely. Nowadays, the managed service market is still rapidly growing, mainly because of the current rising demand from companies, lack of skilled IT Staff and growing pressure to cut budgets. Globally, IDC Consultancy had expected the market to reach a $ 3.3 million volume by 2005 (IDC, "MSP: A new paradigm defined", 8th May, 2002).

MSPs start providing detailed management information and technical recommendations, and their clients make use of this information flow but keeping control over their infrastructure and own applications. Companies use MSP recommendations to modify or redesign their IT infrastructure, aiming to maintain expected availability and quality levels. Under this model, companies have the advantage of using high-level solutions without having to develop them internally or buy them.

Openware has optimized its expertise and know-how as a consultancy and integration and IT support provider for the last 10 years, achieving process automation and reducing production costs by designing its own lines of managed service solutions.

Managed service solution lines are the right call when seeking to reduce information network operating costs and to simplify and increase the flexibility of your company's technology platforms. In this way, they can reduce the high costs of structures, training of skilled human resources and 24/7 availability. Managed services allow to outsource expensive and complex functions at a reasonable cost, keeping service standards and a high level of security and confidentiality.
